Everything was perfect and the rooms were well furnished and unique. Location: the hotel was right by a quiet valley in the Lake District, Hawkshead for lunch and south Windermere. It also was nowhere to sit outside in the garden. They offered us fabulous meals, had a wide array of options to choose from.

Great location for exploring the Lake District, with easy access to Windermere and Coniston areas. Friendly and welcoming hosts who provided helpful recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Enjoyed the variety of food available for breakfast.
Limited outdoor seating and no table and chairs in the garden. Would have been nice to have tea and coffee available in the lounge or to take outside.
